Crafty Minx by Kelly Doust- Book Review

4 Apr

The name Crafty Minx caught my eye in the ‘new book section’ of the library.

The Crafty Minx

I think it is a fun book and a few of her projects caught my eye.  Interestingly Kelly Doust has divided her projects into the four seasons, spring, summer, autumn and winter, which I thought quite clever.  She has also tried to include a thread of recycling through her projects too.   The chatty style used in the book is very readable and the use of fantastic photography puts your minds eye on the project and has you dreaming of when you will be sitting down to make it.  There are quite a few projects relating to new born babies like – a baby sling, nappy bag, bib and bunting.  Other projects which I like are the modern patchwork quilt, lino printing, pretty napkins and place mats and her cute apron shirt.  There are a few fun projects you could attempt with kids over the holidays, which are looming at the end of the week.
