Hmmm, favorite song? Music tends to be just background noise to me. I play it only to cover the white noise ringing in my ears. But I really do like “White Rabbit” by Jefferson Airplane. My husband is a drummer and it’s a big drum solo type song.

Man! That is such a hard question. That is one of the questions I usually pass up when they ask questions to identify you if you loose your password. Favorite animal? sure, first car? sure..but favorite song? TOUGH I guess it would be One Last Breath by Creed. It brings back some pretty bitter sweet memories for me. I was having to get chemo infusions to stop my kidneys from failing when my lupus was really active and we were having a real hard time getting it under control. It is more or less a last resort med that is really hard on your system and the side effects are pure torture. Not the best time in my life for sure. My daughter gave me an ipod loaded with my favorite music which is an eclectic mix for sure. I am a grandmother and my favorite song should be a clear indicator of my wide range of taste. Anyway, I was rocking out to this song with my earphones on while in the infusion room with about 8 other people getting their chemo too. All of us in pretty rough shape. My ear plug fell out and it was so loud you could clearly hear it. I looked around and we all cracked up. The lady next to me was atleast 65-70. She laughed and said “Don’t worry about it honey, let that freak flag fly!” We all cracked up at that and it really put a happy spin on a difficult time for us all. So it will always have a special place in my heart.

Like everyone else, I am having trouble answering that question! LOL It really depends on my mood, but the one artist I can always listen to is Enya. It is so soothing!

Choosing just one favorite song is difficult– but one that I certainly do love– and have ever since I was a little girl– is “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”. I can’t hear that song without remembering watching “The Wizard of Oz” with my sisters and Mom. “The Wizard of Oz” came on once every year, and we would plan a special meal for that night, and make it an event! I love all kinds of music and really don’t have a favorite. I’m thinking of a Winnie the Pooh song right now which always makes me smile because my children loved it so much when they were little (they’re in their 30’s now) and we would sing it together and dance until we were dead tired. Let’s see, favorite song….. I have 3 of them…..they are very dear to me. They invoke memeories Of my Eddie who passed away from Stage 4 Brain Cancer in Jan. ’09. He use to travel for work and every night he would phone me before turning in and he would sing to me “Come Home” by SheDaisy and “I’ll Be There” by LoneStar (this was the 1st song we ever danced to when we meet just 4 years before. In the Morning, before going to work it was a phone call and the song “Good Morning Beautiful” By Steve Holy. Although we were only blessed with 4 years ~ I still continue our ritual every morning & night. Remembering Him in my tears and smiles and will continue to do so until the day we can be together again.
