I chose some of my polka dot oilcloth to start putting together strips to make a piece of patched fabric to make my bag.
I cut strips anything between one and a half inch to three and a half inches wide and 18″ long.
I sewed all the strips together.
Here is my completed piece so far –
I think I might cut it up some more so the piecing is more broken up.
Further steps will happen over the next few days.
Looking forward till then,
Dianna

Dj,
I love the start of your H piece. You are doing all the right things when you do an ‘ inspired by ‘ piece . I once went to a workshop on this theme and we were taught to look closely at the artists favorite colours and shapes and how the artist puts them together . It is a fun process. I love the colors you have chosen .
