Scandinavian Quilt Style – Trine Bakke – Review

I’ve been meaning to review this book for some time now, just keep getting distracted.

Scandinavian Quilt Style: Over 40 Sewing Projects for Home Comfort and Style

This book has 40 different projects for the home.

The beginning of the book discusses fabric choices, pattern drawing, a few different types of simple quilt blocks, borders, how to get your machine quilts looking handmade including handy tips on threads, backing, machine feet and stitch length.

The projects include some Christmas ideas, a few cushions, some tote bags, a variety of smaller zippered pouches and purses, simple embroidery, pincushions, patchwork on a shirt, mittens, coasters and pot holders and a few quilts.

If you are looking for a variety of manageable projects which will not be daunting to do, this is a great book to start with.

Happy Stitching,
