Design Wall Monday – Fun Fusing With Scraps

8 Apr

I’ve been busy creating a small piece inspired by Bethan Ash’s book on Vibrant Quilt Collage.

quilts 125

It still needs a bit of work.  I fused these scraps from past projects.

Bethan Ash suggests mounting these small pieces on a frame.  I love this idea:)

Just need to add some more shapes, quilt it and find a frame.

‘Till then.

you know I’m not a fuser – but omg – this looks fun – there is something really liberating to just play with composition this way! What a great exercise!

What a great way to use up scraps. I have been using/fusing the edges cut from fused applique projects. They just need to be quilted but in the meantime, I am again collecting more edges. I have decided that almost nothing is going in the trash!!
